KARA + MATT | SHAWNEE STATE PARK ANNIVERSARY SESSION

If you’ve ever thought about getting photos done in honor of an anniversary or just to document a new season of life, here’s your reminder to do so. Kara and Matt wanted some updated photos of themselves just spending time together, and if that’s not the best reason to get photos done, I don’t know what is.

Kara and Matt met many moons ago as they were working at Olive Garden together. They got married about 2 years after and just celebrated 5 years of marriage. They’ve been wandering through state parks ever since they’ve known each other and made it a goal to visit each and every Pennsylvania State Park. I love it! So, they decided on one of their favorites they’ve been to so far for their session, Shawnee State Park.

We had a beautiful afternoon with clear blue skies and that amazing sunshine (as a photographer, I will choose sunlight over overcast any day). We began on the mountainside and made our way down to the lake. The sunlight glimmered off the water and surrounded the two as they held each other close for a slow dance on the dock. It was magical. We continued wandering through the amazing fall foliage and beautiful sunlight shining through the trees.

An absolutely beautiful day with such a great couple. Kara & Matt are some very good friends that we always have such an awesome time with. So thankful to call you guys friends!! And to have been able to capture this special season for you two!! Happy 5 years!
